Dar Al Ber charity projects valued at AED1.2bn over 37 yrs

The Dar Al Ber Society, DABS, has run a variety of charitable, relief, and constructional projects in the UAE and across the globe, worth over AED 1.2 billion in 37 years. Abdullah Ali bin Zayed, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber, said that the Dubai-based charity association spares no effort to assist whoever in need for help in the country or abroad.
According to the official figures, thousands of new mosques have been built since its inception in 1979. “Up to 24,843 mosques were constructed at a cost of AED 984,333,236.”
Dar Al Ber has also run 74,568 water aid projects. “These major schemes, which were valued at AED 152,807,976, have helped provide pure drinking water to deprived areas all over the world.” The Society has also carried out 18,182 relief projects at disaster-hit and war-torn areas, bin Zayed elaborated. “These life-saving projects are valued at AED 93,708,847.” Dar Al Ber has also run 4,218 charity endowment projects costing AED 44,93,746 in the last four decades, he concluded.
