GULF TIME

Bombay Borough – the all-day Indian eatery in DIFC —has introduced a unique ‘Bazaar Bites’ menu that promises a reimagination of the classic Indian street food – Chaat – with a progressive flair. Influenced deeply by the subcontinent’s traditional marketplaces and bazaars, the menu combines a comforting showcase of flavours and experiences including exquisite tableside preparation, to bring the magic of India’s street food to Dubai. The Bazaar Bites menu is currently available all day until 30th November with prices starting from AED 55 per dish.
The distinctive menu takes inspiration from India’s ‘Khau Gallis’ (popular food alleys where people gather to eat) commonly found in bustling bazaars that unite people from all walks of life. Bombay Borough aims to rekindle the nostalgia associated with these areas by encouraging guests to reminisce about the sizzle of the spices, the clatter of plates, and the comfort of shared laughter in an elevated setting.
By integrating contemporary twists into India’s vibrant street food culture, the menu explores five distinctive variations of Chaat that take diners on a culinary odyssey by fusing nostalgia with creativity. The venue utilizes the finest Indian ingredients from across the nation and modern and global culinary techniques, thus creating a magical Indian street food experience by reinventing the classic Chaat dish.
Guests can tuck into inventive renditions such as the savoury Bareilly’s Namkeen Chaat with nitro-raspberry chutney and sweet Bengal Rasgulla Chaat with mango yoghurt – both of which are prepared live tableside to pay homage to a truly authentic Indian street food experience. Diners can also relish the Gujarati-inspired Surati Truffle Locho ChaatKolkata’s Chinatown Chaat served in crispy pie tee cups, and the Old Delhi Daulat Ki Chaat elevated with French choux pastry and edible gold.
From post-work catchups to relaxed snacking with friends and family, the Bazar Bites menu presents a wonderful opportunity to enjoy modern street food while experiencing nostalgic flavours deeply rooted in Indian daily life.
