Belarus-Hungary cooperation is actively developing in various areas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik told journalists following his meeting with Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto.
BelTA, a Belarusian news agency, quoted Aleinik as saying, “At today’s talks we have discussed the state and prospects of our cooperation. We separately explored the possibility of intensifying bilateral contacts, promoting inter-parliamentary dialogue and stepping up cooperation between the parliaments.â€
The foreign ministries of the two countries signed a programme of joint actions for 2023. According to the Belarusian foreign minister, the programme provides for holding multi-level ministerial consultations in various areas. There are plans to boost cooperation in economy, education and culture.
Sergei Aleinik stressed that a significant number of bilateral meetings, negotiations between ministries and departments, individual enterprises, business associations have taken place.
