ADCOOP, a leading food retailer in the UAE and the retail arm of MAIR Group PJSC, showcased major milestones during Global Food Week (GFW) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The event marked a defining moment in ADCOOP’s transformation; celebrating its unification under one brand and the launch of new initiatives that reinforce its commitment to affordability, community wellbeing, and transparent, healthier lifestyles.
Celebrating a Unified Brand “ADCOOP”
ADCOOP reaffirmed its transformation journey, first announced in June 2025, marking the successful unification of six legacy brands under one national brand. The renewed celebration at Global Food Week reflects ADCOOP’s ongoing progress in building a stronger, more efficient retail platform that enhances scale, consistency, and customer experience across the UAE.
Strengthening Community Impact; Partnership with DMT
ADCOOP, through MAIR Group, showcased its exclusive partnership with the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) – previously formalized under a strategic agreement between both entities – to manage the Abu Dhabi Citizens’ Food Products Program through a joint ribbon-cutting ceremony at Global Food Week. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Salem Al Kaabi, Director General of DMT, and Nehayan Alameri, Managing Director and CEO of MAIR Group, and Bertrand Loumaye, Retail CEO, symbolizing the continued collaboration between both entities to enhance access to essential food products for Emirati families. Implemented through ADCOOP’s retail network and integrated with the TAMM platform, the program reinforces ADCOOP’s commitment to affordability, community wellbeing, and the UAE’s food security agenda.
Introducing Two New Private Labels; Driving Product Innovation
Building on the momentum of Global Food Week, ADCOOP unveiled the next phase of its retail transformation with the launch of two new private-label lines; Yalla and Xpert.
Yalla offers quality essentials at affordable prices, while Xpert introduces a specialized range of high-performance cleaning products. Together, they reflect ADCOOP’s strategy to expand product diversity, support local sourcing, and strengthen its position as a trusted, home-grown retailer serving communities across the UAE. The next phase of the program will see the introduction of two additional brands, extending ADCOOP’s offering across new food and personal care categories.
Advancing Nutrition Transparency through the Nutri Mark MoU
ADCOOP formalized its participation in the Nutri Mark Front-of-Pack Nutrition Labelling Initiative through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, reinforcing its commitment to transparency and consumer wellbeing. As one of the UAE’s first retailers to sign the Nutri Mark Pledge, ADCOOP is applying Nutri Mark labels across 100% of its private-label food products; a pioneering step that goes beyond standard regulatory requirements. Through this initiative, ADCOOP is helping customers make informed, healthier food choices and setting a new benchmark for nutrition transparency and responsible retailing in the UAE.
