Abu Dhabi hotel revenues up 73%

The hotel establishment revenues across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi increased circa 73 percent to AED1.8 billion in Q4 of 2018 from AED1.05 billion during the preceding quarter of the same year, according to the Statistics Centre- Abu Dhabi (SCAD).
SCAD attributed the growth to the robust tourist infrastructure boasted by Abu Dhabi in terms of attractive recreational facilities and rates. According to statistics, hotel rooms in UAE capital increased to 32,971 during Q4, a growth of 4.6 percent from 31,506 in Q3. The number of hot-el guests during same monitored period rose from 1.29 million to 1.34 million, with hotel nights up from 3.017 million to 3.58 million, which ratcheted occupancy rates from 66 percent to 78 percent. GCC guests, rose 36.6 percent during the last quarter of the year.
