Abdullah, Japanese minister discuss ways to bolster ties

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Hiroshige Seko, Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, in Abu Dhabi on Sunday to discuss methods of boosting strategic bilateral ties in political, investment, economic and trade sectors.
Sheikh Abdullah and the Japanese minister also exchanged views on the latest regional and global issues of mutual interest.
While highlighting the importance of UAE-Japan’s strategic relations and strong, friendly people-to-people bonds, he said leaderships in both countries were keen to further solidify these bonds. Seko affirmed the depth of bilateral ties and praised the prominent standing enjoyed by the UAE regionally and globally.
Dr Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, and Mohammed Sharaf Al Hashemi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Economic and Trade Affairs, attended the meeting.
