Abu Dhabi Post Offices attract higher number of customers

Abu Dhabi Post Offices, which fall in the 1st Postal Zone of Emirates Post, continue to attract hordes of customers as
it offers over 70 postal and non-postal services.
Operating since 1963, the Abu Dhabi Central Post Office is a hub for government services, such as those of Immigration Department and Emirates Identity Authority. The most popular postal services are parcels, followed by EMS and Registered Mail.
The 1st Postal Zone consists of 34 post offices and postal outlets. The 1st Postal Zone has partnerships with government and non-government organisations to serve their customers in key locations such as Tham Dalma, Das Island, Tilah and Liwa. Zone 1 serves an average of 132,170 customers per month.
“The presence of government agencies within our main branches in the city of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Madinat Zayed in the Al Dhafra Region enables customers to complete their transactions under one roof,” says Director of 1st Postal Zone Ms. Thamna Al Sharaifi. “We have Customs, Ministry of Health, National Media Council and General Command of Abu Dhabi Police operating from within the post offices, and their role is to ensure safety through inspection of packages received from outside the country.”
Abu Dhabi Central Post Office also provides vital services to the community which are government services, utility bill payment, financial services and travel services, as well as innovative marketing solutions, such as Advertising by Post and Promotional Stamps.

Among the unique features of 1st Postal Zone is the presence of post offices in border areas and islands with oil companies for the benefits of their employees.

“We have proposed to the management a number of initiatives to raise customer happiness not only in our zone but in other postal zones of the UAE,” Al Sharaifi added.
