The Business Registration & Licensing (BRL) sector in the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai announced support to the launch of MyHUBBER, the first smart application on promotional offers developed by Emirati entrepreneurs. The launch is part of enhancing happiness among consumers and businesses in line with Dubai’s aspiration to be a smart city where happiness is central to doing business.
Developed in partnership with idea Prodigies – part of UAE-based AJSM Investments – the MyHUBBER concept is based on integrating online shopping and social networking sites as well as reward programmes on a single platform where users can shop online and collect rewards simultaneously.
The application, which has a variety of merchandise and convenient payment options, offers an innovative social networking and purchasing experience consistent with the lifestyle and needs of the online community in the UAE.
Omar Bushahab, CEO of the BRL sector in DED, commented: “MyHUBBER being an Emirati initiative, we are particularly pleased to introduce this application to offer consumers a one-stop shop for their daily needs. It’s significant step in enhancing service quality and consumer confidence. The Department of Economic Development sees initiatives like MyHUBBER as a perfect fit with our efforts to consolidate Dubai’s position as a business destination and harness intelligent technologies to enhance ease of doing business.â€
Bushahab added that the Business Registration & Licensing sector is keen to promote enterprises embracing smart technology and best international practices in service delivery as they are integral to the leadership’s vision of Dubai as a competitive and sustainable business location.
Omar Bushahab, CEO of the BRL sector in DED, and Sheikh Saeed Obaid Al Maktoum, Chairman of AJSM Investments, signed MoU to ensure that consumers get the best benefits or services offered through MyHUBBER.
“The launch of MyHUBBER underlines our commitment to consumer rights and enhancing transparency in retailing,â€
Mohammed Ali Rashed Lootah, CEO of CCCP said after signing the partnership agreement with Sheikh Saeed Obaid Al Maktoum, Chairman of AJ Investment. “We will ensure that the app offers the best deals and practices, meets customer expectations and fully complies with the local laws and regulations.â€
Lootah also emphasised DED’s commitment to pursuing excellence in retailing and in protecting the rights of consumers and brand owners, which are critical to reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a commercial hub.
Sheikh Saeed Obaid Al Maktoum also expressed his delight at working together with DED and said: “We seek to provide value-added customer service and expand globally. Consumers often look for a single place where they can find all their daily needs, but not all of them are familiar enough with the smart applications available. MyHUBBER has been conceived and built as an online space that provides a complete shopping experience. “
