Molokhiya meets Ramen: SLRP brings that Middle Eastern twist to a Japanese classic

ABU DHABI / GULF TIME

SLRP, Abu Dhabi’s cool and edgy ramen spot, introduces an exciting cross-cultural fusion of flavours this September, blending Japanese ramen with regional Arabic inspiration. The star of the menu is the Jute Mazemen – or Molokhiya Ramen (AED 58), a bold fusion of Japanese and Arabic flavors, combining the Middle Eastern jute plant molokhia with cherry tomatoes, roasted chicken, and house-made noodles in a hearty molokhia soup base. This innovative dish, which is a limited-time ramen, will be available until the end of October. It bridges two distinct culinary traditions in one bowl, delivering a truly unique taste experience. Other specials include Karaage (AED 38), Japanese crispy fried chicken marinated in Teriyaki sauce and served with a Korean sweet-savory yangnyeom sauce; Okonomiyaki (AED 38), a savory seared cabbage with Angus beef, pickled ginger, Okonomiyaki sauce, and mayonnaise; and Wagyu Mazemen (AED 64), a vibrant bowl of minced wagyu, crispy umami garlic sauce, seared mushrooms, shredded nori, bonito flakes, and freshly made noodles, crowned with raw egg.
For a taste of this epic East-meets-Middle East fusion, head to SLRP and dive into these limited-edition dishes.
