Marina construction works begin at Hidd Al Saadiyat

One of the most strategically positioned housing communities located on the picturesque outskirts of Abu Dhabi, Hidd Al Saadiyat has announced commencement of the construction of its private marina.
This community boasts of around 1.5 million square meters of natural beachfront land and 7-kilometer of waterfront and the marina construction project, which is awarded to Ghantoot group, is scheduled to be completed by April 2017.
Conveniently designed to reflect the project’s serene surroundings, the private marina is set to feature a pedestrian walk encompassing a view of the striking landscape within a leisurely and relaxing atmosphere. It will also be equipped with 110 berths for boats of different sizes, directly linked to the beach and easily accessible by car, boat or water taxi.

reinforces our commitment to making Hidd Al Saadiyat an exclusive neighborhood just a stone’s throw away from the island’s pristine beaches
and turquoise waters,” said Greg Slingerland, Hidd Al Saadiyat’s Project Director.
Located in Saadiyat Island, the cultural district of the capital, Hidd Al Saadiyat community boasts of luxurious villas and mansions that beautifully support modern Arabic designs and couture amid an intelligent home automation system. As per the officials, nearly 85 percent of the units are already sold out.
Notably, Hidd Al Saadiyat is making full use of natural resources to add to the well-being of society’s ecosystem and there are smart homes, where residents can control electricity, ACs and even home curtains through their smart devices. This locality is surrounded by world-class hotels, resorts and museums, presenting a perfect blend of community living.
As part of its social and environmental responsibility, Hidd Al Saadiyat adopts the best practices of Estidama’s Pearl 2 Sustainability Protocol through the close collaboration with Abu Dhabi’s Urban Planning Council. Similarly, the marina development has
also been designed to meet the Estidama’s Pearl 2 rating. Hidd Al Saadiyat is a project managed by LEAD Development.
Initial construction on Hidd Al Saadiyat began in January 2013. Construction milestones continue to be met and the project handing over will begin in November 2016.
Among the activities that have concluded are all the underground services including water, sewerage and electrical cables which have been installed with final testing and commissioning of these services taking place. Additionally, all electrical substations and lifting stations have also been completed and are scheduled to be tested and commissioned.
