Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is showcasing five years of achievements at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), taking place from April 25-28 at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC). At the event, the first Ferrari branded theme park is highlighting its impressive expansion project and evolutionary journey towards an all-new entertainment experience.
Jesse Vargas, General Manager at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, said,“ATM is a great opportunity for us to showcase progress of the Park’s development to our partners and key-players in the leisure industry. The re-invention of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, with its unique experiences and record-breaking rides, has contributed to boosting our current capacity by 20 percent. In less than two-years duration and with 6 million man-hours dedicated to the project, we have now completed the second phase of the expansionattractingeven more families, Ferrari fans, and theme park enthusiasts to the evolving leisure destination ofYas Island.â€
The completed second expansion phase at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi,which began in 2014, saw the addition of several new attractions and rides including karting academy, Ferrari driving experience, the dynamic triple record-breaking roller coaster, flying aces, and the ultimate interactive family ride, Benno’s Great Race.
In addition, the Park revamped its junior training camp to offer a new range of activities for children, such as the brand new climbing and free fall jumping experiences.
Vargas added, “It has been an exceptional year for us as we celebrate our fifth year of growth in the UAE, and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is on target to meet our annual goal. I am equally happy to report that we also continue to help create Yas Island as a family-friendly destination and build the UAE into a world-class tourist destination.â€
The next phase of the Park’s expansion will be completed by early 2017 and will consist of the addition of 3 major rides and attractions that the world has never seen before.
Upon completion, guests will be able to enjoy a total of 38 Ferrari-inspired rides and attractions that will see the Park’s overall capacity increaseby 40 percent.
