‘Shukran Zayed’ art installation unveiled
Tamouh Investments unveiled a unique art piece created in honour of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, at Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2018.
Conceived by Emirati artist Ashwaq Abdullah, the work is inspired by the individual “thank you” messages from Emiratis and expatriates posted on social media in 100 languages using Tamouh’s “#ShukranZayed” hashtag as part of the Year of Zayed initiative.
The Shukran Zayed art installation design was officially unveiled by His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with Ghanem Al Mansoori, CEO of Tamouh, and Abdullah.
Visitors at the real estate event, taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre until 19th April, were able to see and interact with the concept design presented as a large 3D render on a wide interactive screen for the first time.
“The involvement of so many people of different nationalities represents the international reach that Sheikh Zayed continues to have. This project is very dear to my heart and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to show my gratitude to the man who achieved so much for his homeland and the world, and who inspired so much of my life,” Abdullah said.

The art structure’s chrome and metal surface will allow the future visitors at Reem Downtown to interact with the reflections, shapes and shadows that cover its surface. Three-dimensional Arabic text of Sheikh Zayed’s name was added to the piece to further commemorate the father of the UAE.
The trending #ShukranZayed hashtag allowed Emiratis and expatriates to express their gratitude to Sheikh Zayed for helping to lay the foundations of the UAE’s development and promoting the important values of wisdom, respect, sustainability and human development among citizens and residents alike.
Visitors to Cityscape Abu Dhabi will be able to take part in the Shukran Zayed initiative and leave their personal messages through the interactive platform available at Tamouh’s stand.
